All our linens are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Class 2 certified.
What is OEKO-TEX®?
The International Association for Research and Control in the Textile and Leather Ecology sector (OEKO-TEX®) is a union of 18 independent research and testing institutes based in Europe and Japan and in their representative offices throughout the world
What is STANDARD 100?
It is an independent and uniform international control and certification system for raw materials.
It allows to identify those products that do not present any risk to the health of the consumer. The certification guarantees that numerous tests have been carried out on:
1. substances prohibited by law;
2. substances whose use is regulated by law;
3. chemicals known to be harmful to health (but not yet regulated by law);
4. as well as parameters for the protection of health.
The requirements of the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® are much more stringent than the existing national laws, to further protect the consumer.
What is Class 2?
STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® provides proportional restrictions depending on how long the fabric remains in contact with the skin and the type of person who will use the product.
Four product classes were therefore created, from 4 to 1.
Class 2 certifies fabrics that can stay in contact with the skin for a long time, such as underwear, sheets or mattresses.
